Salary: $70,000 - $105,000

Location: Birmingham, AL

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components, ensuring functionality and manufacturability while adhering to project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and performance of designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand and implement manufacturing processes effectively.
• Perform engineering analysis and simulations to validate design concepts.
• Develop prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate designs against specifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all design projects.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in all engineering outputs.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on robotics and HVAC projects.
• Apply knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science in design processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D modeling software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and engineering simulations.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Familiarity with project management principles and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
