Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong skills in mechanical design, technical drawings, and CNC machining. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between engineering design and hands-on manufacturing, ensuring that products move smoothly from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for new and existing products
• Create, interpret, and revise engineering drawings and models (GD and T experience preferred)
• Work with design engineering to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality
• Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC machines (milling, turning, or multi-axis depending on facility)
• Improve machining strategies, tooling selection, and fixture design
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma
• Train production staff on processes, best practices, and equipment use
• Assist with equipment selection, workflow optimization, and maintenance planning
• Participate in prototype builds and transition designs into full production

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.)
• Experience with CNC programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, etc.)
• Solid understanding of machining principles, materials, tolerances, and GD and T
• Experience designing fixtures, tooling, or jigs
• Ability to read and create complex technical drawings
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience in a production or high mix/low volume environment is a plus
