Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electrical Focus) - Manufacturing/Industrial  setting

• Location: Warner Robins/Macon, GA area
• Employment Type: Full-time/Direct Hire -  WORK IS ONSITE, this is NOT a remote/hybrid role.
• Shift: We have MULTIPLE roles open, on overnights and day shifts

 

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities and solid mechanical aptitude to support our high-speed food/CPG production facility. This role keeps our equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably, minimizing downtime and maximizing throughput in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Day to day duties and responsibilities, include the following:

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, packaging systems, conveyors, motors, and facility utilities.
• Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems, sensors, VFDs, relays, control circuits, and low-voltage components.
• Conduct mechanical maintenance including gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and mechanical drives.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Support equipment changeovers, line startups, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, parts usage, and maintenance logs.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, and OSHA requirements to ensure a safe and compliant operation.

 

Qualified applicants should bring as much of the following listed below to the role as possible:

• EXPERIENCE -  Seeking those with at least 3 or more years of industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing (preferred).
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including:
  • AC/DC circuits
  • PLC I/O diagnostics
  • VFDs and motor controls
  • Control panels and instrumentation
• Solid mechanical repair capabilities.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use multimeters, test equipment, and standard mechanical tools.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Desired Education, training, certifications:

• Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician or similar credential a plus.
• Food safety or GMP training beneficial.
