Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within the facility. This role ensures that all equipment and systems are functioning effectively, leading a team of maintenance technicians to optimize performance and adhere to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians in daily operations.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on various equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standards, including OSHA requirements.
- Manage inventory control for maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations.
- Train team members on proper maintenance procedures and safety practices.
- Evaluate and improve maintenance processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and equipment repair.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and industrial machinery maintenance.
- Familiarity with PLC and automation systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety compliance and regulations.
- Ability to use CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
