Position Overview
The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files to support the litigation process effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of legal documents for litigation cases
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for attorney review
- Manage case files, ensuring that all documents are filed correctly and in a timely manner
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed
- Assist attorneys during trial preparation and provide on-site support during trials
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of litigation procedures and relevant legal precedents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in a litigation setting
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology
- Proficiency in legal research and writing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
