Civil Litigation Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insurance defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense, workers' compensation, and/or general liability cases. This role will involve representing clients in court, preparing legal documents, and providing expert legal advice to ensure favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including insurance defense and personal injury claims.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases and strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in dispute resolution processes on behalf of clients.
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and depositions as necessary.
- Provide clients with expert legal advice and guidance throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and improve legal services.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, specifically in insurance defense and general liability cases.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing civil litigation, workers' compensation, and related.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
