The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are carefully planned and budgeted. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and estimating, with the ability to analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates that align with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate project budgets and timelines.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive and fair estimates.
- Maintain a database of historical costs and perform cost analysis to improve future estimating accuracy.
- Provide support during the bidding process and assist in the preparation of bid proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in estimating for construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with experience in Hard Dollar and Primavera considered a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
