The ideal candidate will partner with marketing, production, and suppliers to turn design concepts into robust production-ready artwork and dielines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative and practical packaging and retail display concepts (POP/POS) that meet brand, merchandising, and manufacturing requirements.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, dielines, and technical specifications for packaging, corrugated displays, and point-of-purchase units.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sourcing teams to ensure design intent, cost targets, and timelines are met.
- Prepare production-ready artwork, cutting dies, and standard design forms for converters and printers.
- Work with manufacturing partners to validate designs on converting machinery and address producibility issues.
- Specify materials, finishes, and printing requirements; evaluate material options including corrugated substrates.
- Coordinate prototyping, sample reviews, and pre-production approvals to resolve structural or production concerns.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines, track deliverables, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Ensure designs comply with retail constraints, point-of-purchase standards, and applicable safety/regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance to suppliers and factories during sample development and initial production runs.
- Proven experience as a Designer with strong proficiency in CAD (required) and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and dielines.
- Experience designing packaging, corrugated displays, POP/POS materials, or retail fixtures.
- Knowledge of corrugation, converting machinery, cutting dies, and printing processes.
- Familiarity with materials, production methods, and supply chain considerations for packaging and displays.
- Background in graphic design, structural engineering, or related disciplines is a plus.
- Demonstrated project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience preparing production-ready artwork and standard design forms for converters and printers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to manufacturability, cost, and retail constraints.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience in retail environments and point-of-purchase production preferred.
