Salary: $150-225k DOE and Location

About the roleThis opportunity is designed for an attorney who wants to develop and expand a civil litigation practice. Based on your interests and background, you can structure your practice around Labor & Employment matters or a mixture of other areas if preferred. The role offers the chance to take meaningful ownership of cases, contribute across multiple stages of litigation, and grow within a firm that values high-quality advocacy, professional development, and practical collaboration. This is a hybrid position available in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Philadelphia, New York City, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, Alexandria, Denver, Princeton, San Francisco, Seattle, Sacramento, Wilmington, DE, and Boston.
Responsibilities- Manage a docket of civil litigation matters across your chosen practice area(s)
- Handle matters through multiple stages of litigation, from early case assessment through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct depositions, court appearances, hearings, and other litigation-facing responsibilities
- Partner with colleagues and firm leadership to develop case strategy and advance client objectives
- Represent clients in a professional, responsive manner across a range of contested matters
- Support litigation needs across insurance defense, commercial/business disputes, coverage issues, and general civil matters as needed
- Maintain strong case management practices, including organization, communication, and timely progress on assignments
- Contribute to a collaborative office and firmwide environment focused on quality advocacy and client service
- 2 to 10 years of litigation experience, with flexibility for the right candidate
- Expectation to meet 1850 billable hours annually
- Experience in Labor & Employment litigation or a combination of practice areas preferred
- Additional experience in insurance defense, business/commercial litigation, coverage, or general civil litigation is valued
- Demonstrated ability to draft litigation documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery, and legal analysis
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and exercise sound professional judgment
- Experience with depositions, hearings, and court appearances is preferred
- Interest in building a broad civil litigation practice within a national firm platform
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment from one of the listed office markets
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
