_{We are seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our growing team in the Northern California area.} 

_{Overall Job Description and Role & Responsibilities:}

^{The attorney will be expected to go to Court.  Most courts no longer allow remote appearances (or do so only with advanced permission based on good cause from the attorney).}  

The attorney will be assigned new cases and will be giving introductory calls to them, and returning calls to other clients.  The attorney will also schedule time with clients to discuss (over the phone), the pending DMV hearing, what the discovery shows and the arguments that can be made.

The firm will provide the attorney with a laptop; printer; cell phone; and office supplies that they need to do the job.  They will have a paralegal to assist them (though the paralegal is located in Encino).  

The firm also provides health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance; paid vacation and sick time; we reimburse for all mileage at the current rate set by the government; we have a 401k with firm matching that they will be eligible to participate in after a year with the firm.  The firm offers MCLE training and will pay the bar dues when they come due.   

The real benefit to this job set-up, is the attorney is in control of their own schedule.  They will know that any cased signed up in any of the courts they go to will be assigned to them, and he attorney can then stack them together where possible and make fewer trips to the same courthouse.
