Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler to develop, maintain and analyze project schedules that ensure timely delivery across a portfolio of projects. The Scheduler will create and manage baseline and updated schedules, coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to forecast milestones and resource needs, and produce clear schedule reports and recovery plans. This role supports construction projects in educational/institutional, life sciences, high-tech, healthcare, and commercial sectors and requires strong proficiency in scheduling tools and relevant regulatory practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules (baseline and current) using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Collaborate with project managers, planners, contractors, engineers and stakeholders to define scope, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements.
- Perform schedule analysis including logic checks, float analysis, critical path identification, resource leveling and what-if scenarios to support on-time delivery.
- Produce regular schedule reports, dashboards and visualizations to communicate status, variances, forecasts and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare delay analyses, recovery schedules and change impact assessments to support decision-making and contract discussions.
- Ensure schedule data integrity, maintain baseline comparisons and document schedule changes through proper change control and configuration management.
- Integrate schedule information with cost control, progress reporting and risk registers; support Earned Value and progress measurement activities as required.
- Support project audits, GMP/GLP compliance reviews and regulatory documentation for life sciences and pharmaceutical projects.
- Train and mentor project teams on scheduling best practices, tools usage and standard procedures.
- Assist with claims support, forensic schedule analysis and lessons-learned capture at project closeout.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 years of hands-on scheduling experience on medium to large projects; experience across one or more of the following preferred: educational, construction, life sciences, high-tech, healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial, institutional.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project preferred; experience importing/exporting schedules and maintaining large multi-file schedule networks.
- Working knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements for pharmaceutical and life sciences projects; familiarity with regulatory documentation practices.
- Proven experience with critical path analysis, resource leveling, baseline management, recovery planning and delay analysis.
- Familiarity with project controls concepts including Earned Value Management, change control, risk identification and mitigation.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to translate complex schedule data into clear, actionable reports and presentations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience coordinating distributed teams and third-party contractors.
- Relevant certifications a plus: PMI-SP, Primavera P6 Certification, PMP, or equivalent scheduling/planning credentials.
