Location: Glen Burnie, MD
Salary: $100K-$160K (salary depends on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager - Steel to lead the delivery of steel and structural projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, quality, and safety while coordinating design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel across ground-up, tilt-up, and building projects, including distribution centers, commercial, high-rise, and municipal work

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of steel construction projects (preconstruction, procurement, fabrication, erection, commissioning, and closeout).
• Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and budgets; track progress and implement corrective actions to control scope, schedule, and cost.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, steel fabricators, and erection crews
• Manage procurement of steel materials and subcontractor packages; evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with fabricators and erection subcontractors.
• Oversee quality control, inspections, and testing for steel fabrication and installation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 3  years of construction project management experience with a strong focus on steel and structural steel projects.
• Proven experience with steel fabrication and steel erection processes, including working with fabricators and field erection crews.
• Demonstrated success managing ground-up and design-build projects, including tilt-up, concrete slab, and metal building systems.
• Experience delivering projects such as distribution centers, commercial buildings, hospitality, high-rise, and municipal structures is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, structural steel detailing/shop drawings, and code requirements..
