Commercial Construction Estimator - Remote
Location: Jackson, MS (must be located with 200 miles of Jackson, MS)
Salary: $90K-$140K (salary depends on experience)
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to lead the full preconstruction estimating process on complex commercial projects. You will own estimates from conceptual budgeting through bid day, collaborating closely with project executives, owners, and design teams to produce competitive, accurate bids across a diverse range of market sectors.
This is a fully remote position suited for a self-directed estimating professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings deep expertise in commercial construction across multiple delivery methods.
What you'll do
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, conceptual budgets, and hard-bid estimates from schematic through construction documents
- Scope, solicit, and level subcontractor and supplier bids; build and maintain subcontractor relationships
- Lead preconstruction services including value engineering, constructability reviews, and phasing analysis
What you bring
- 3 years of commercial construction estimating experience with a GC or CM firm
- proven track record estimating projects $10M-$100M across multiple commercial sectors
- Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, WinEst, or equivalent)
- Experience with hard bid (design-bid-build), design-build, and CM at-risk delivery methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to owners and executives
