Job Title: CNC Programmer-Machinist

Location: Bohemia, NY on-site (M-F)

Salary: $30.00-$40.00/hr DOE

Requirements: HS Diploma or equivalent, 2 years exp in CNC Machining, CNC Programming, Set up, CAD/CAM

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer-Machinist to join an established client that is in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Industry, and is consistently recognized as a Top Workplace in Long Island!. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. This position requires a strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Machinery to fabricate precision parts
• Program CNC Toolpaths (3-axis minimum, 4/5 axis preferred) with CAM software (MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, or Fusion 360 preferred)
• Design and Build workholding fixtures for manufacturing
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Manage Raw Material and Finished Parts Inventory
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to meet tolerances
• Implement 6S practice in the machine shop

Requirements:

• HS Disploma or equivalent
• 2 years minimum of hands on CNC Machining & Programming
• Proficiency with Manual Knee Mills, CNC Vertical/Horizontal Mills
• Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Fusion CAM experience
• Manufacturing knowledge and Processes
• Written & communication Skills
