Position: Machine Operator
Pay: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: Cross Plains, WI
Overview:
We are looking for an entry-level or experienced machinist who wants to develop their hands-on skills in a stable manufacturing environment. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys mechanical work, values precision, and is interested in growing professionally as a machinist through on-going training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with operating basic shop equipment, including drills, grinders, and simple CNC or manual machines.
- Prepare materials, take measurements, and perform routine quality checks to support production needs.
- Help assemble, modify, or finish parts by following established instructions and shop procedures.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while performing daily tasks.
- Work with team members and supervisors to complete projects and continue learning new skills.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in working with tools, machines, or hands-on projects.
- Willingness to learn machining processes and gradually take on more technical work.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools and follow step-by-step instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable work habits, and a safety-focused mindset.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
- Prior technical coursework or shop experience is helpful but not required.
