Job Title: CNC Machinist & Programmer
Salary: $100k-$150k DOE
Location: Carlsbad, CA On-site
Schedule: M-Th 7am-5:30pm
Requirements: 5 yrs Experience in Precision Manufacturing environment, CNC Programming/Machining, CAD/CAM proficiency requires (Solidworks and Esprit preferred) 5-Axis Milling/Lathe Esprit, Okuma Machines Preferred
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist & Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, programming techniques, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines.
- Program CNC machines using Esprit and G-Code for various machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
- Conduct precision measurements using measurement equipment to ensure product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years proven experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Strong skills in Solidworks / CAD
- Proficincy in CAM (Esprit, Mastercam, or other CAM program)
- Familiarity with precision measurement equipment and quality control processes
- Familiarity with GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- .Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Team Lead Experience
- Degree in Engineering, or Certifications in Precision Machining Technology
- Okuma Mill experience
