Cisco Network Engineer - Managed Services
Position Overview
Are you a 5 yr Network Engineer with deep Cisco experience? Have your CCNP or higher? Experienced in a consulting environment? We are seeking a skilled Managed Services Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network solutions for our clients, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality managed services and supporting complex network environments.
Qualifications
- 5 years as a Network Engineer with a focus on managed services.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred; CCIE is a plus.
- Consulting experience
- Deep experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with routing protocols such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Cisco Prime.
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting (hands on).
It is a plus if you have experience in:
- Cloud
- SD-WAN
- Hybrid network environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement network solutions for clients in various environments.
- Monitor and manage network performance, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
- Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage and optimize network protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and TCP/IP.
- Implement security measures and intrusion detection systems to protect client networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud and hybrid solutions.
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Solarwinds and PRTG for network management.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding network best practices.
