Established (50 years) Premier Education Law Firm Seeking Senior Litigation Attorney for Public Entity Matters in California

 

An established California education law firm with over 50 years in practice is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 10 years of experience to join its Litigation practice group. This role is available on a hybrid basis in San Francisco, Long Beach, San Diego, Sacramento, East Bay, or Fresno.

 

The litigation group has experienced significant growth over the past two years, handling complex and impactful matters for education clients across the state. Attorneys enjoy strong autonomy, minimal after-hours expectations, and a collaborative culture rooted in long-term client trust and shared mission.

 

Offer:

Salary range: $175,000-$210,000 depending on experience

1850 annual billable requirement

Qualifications:

10 years of complex civil litigation experience

Public entity or education law experience preferred

Background in civil rights, special education, insurance defense, or personal injury defense is a plus

Proven ability to manage matters from inception through resolution

Strong leadership and case management skills

Excellent writing, research, and analytical abilities

Active California Bar admission in good standing

 

Responsibilities:

Leading complex litigation matters for public education clients

Managing case strategy, deadlines, and team coordination

Handling hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

Advising clients on litigation risk and resolution
