Associate Attorney - Litigation (Torts)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing civil litigation cases, providing legal counsel to clients, and effectively representing them in court. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and management of litigation cases
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Prepare for trials, including organizing exhibits and preparing witnesses
- Review and analyze documents for relevance and legal compliance
- Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff to achieve client objectives
- Stay updated on changes in civil law and litigation practices
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the WSBA
- 5 years of experience in civil litigation
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven negotiation and case management abilities
- Familiarity with legal compliance issues and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
