Position Overview
We are seeking an Architectural BIM Specialist to lead and optimize BIM workflows across architectural projects. The role focuses on developing and maintaining Revit-based standards and templates, ensuring model QA/QC, coordinating multidisciplinary BIM workflows, and applying automation and visualization tools (PyRevit, DIRoots, Enscape) to improve productivity and deliver high-quality project outcomes. The specialist will support project teams, train users, and collaborate with BIM Managers to implement best practices and BIM execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enforce company Revit standards, templates, families and content libraries to ensure consistency across projects
- Perform model QA/QC reviews, validate data integrity, and implement corrective measures to meet project and contractual requirements
- Create and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), coordinate with project teams and consultant disciplines, and support clash detection and resolution workflows
- Implement and maintain automation and productivity tools such as PyRevit and DIRoots to streamline repetitive tasks and improve model efficiency
- Prepare and configure Enscape views and settings for client presentations, design reviews and visualization deliverables
- Provide technical support, training and mentorship to architects and BIM users on Revit best practices, parameter management and BIM processes
- Collaborate with BIM Managers, project leads and consultants to define project deliverables, LOD requirements and data exchange protocols
- Produce clear documentation, workflows and standards for model handover, data extraction and QA/QC procedures
- Monitor emerging BIM technologies and recommend tools or process improvements to enhance project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of professional experience working with Revit in an architectural design or BIM coordination role (or more depending on project scale)
- Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit including template and family creation, parameter management and worksharing
- Hands-on experience with BIM processes and QA/QC workflows, including producing and enforcing BEPs and model checking
- Practical experience using PyRevit and/or scripting (Python) to automate Revit workflows and improve team productivity
- Experience with DIRoots or similar Revit productivity/management tools is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Enscape (or equivalent real-time rendering tools) for client visualizations and review sessions
- Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650, AIA CA/US standards) and common collaboration platforms (Navisworks, BIM 360, Trimble Connect, Revizto etc.)
- Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills with an ability to train and support project teams
- Autodesk certification or other relevant BIM certifications are a plus
