Position Overview
The AR Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable department, ensuring the efficient management of collections, credit management, and month-end close activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining internal controls and optimizing cash flow for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and collections.
- Develop and implement efficient accounts receivable processes and policies to improve cash flow.
- Monitor and manage the collections process to minimize overdue accounts and disputes.
- Conduct credit evaluations and manage credit limits for customers to mitigate risk.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards during month-end close activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable performance and key metrics to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer disputes and enhance customer relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or credit management.
- Proven experience with internal controls and month-end close processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
