Position Overview
We are Connecticut's largest privately-held construction company. We're seeking a skilled Cost Control Manager to oversee and manage the cost control processes within our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing cost management strategies, ensuring that all projects are completed within budget constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost control procedures and processes for construction projects
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
• Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for management review
• Analyze project performance and provide insights for cost optimization
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting
• Review and approve all project-related expenditures and financial transactions
• Provide training and support to team members on cost control best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry
• Strong proficiency in JD Edwards or similar accounting software
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Certification as a CPA is a plus
• Experience with Oracle and financial planning tools is highly desirable
