Our client is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize financial operations within their organization. Based in Torrington, Connecticut, this role is ideal for a meticulous individual with a strong background in accounting practices and leadership capabilities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with auditing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring entries are precise and compliant with regulations.

• Conduct and support financial statement audits, collaborating with external auditors as needed.

• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain financial accuracy and transparency.

• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.

• Develop and implement annual standard cost procedures to facilitate budgeting and forecasting.

• Analyze and report on financial data to support strategic decision-making.

• Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and teamwork.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in month-end closing processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with annual standard cost procedures.
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
