Food Service Worker Needed
Location: Champlain Valley Union High School

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking energetic and collaborative professionals to join our high school team as a full-time (1.0 FTE) Food Service Worker starting FY27. We are looking for a highly focused individual with an excellent work ethic and a commitment to providing great customer service to our students and staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operating the register from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, utilizing basic computer skills for daily transactions.
- Assisting with food preparation and service in a safe, structured environment.
- Maintaining flexibility and a positive attitude when navigating changing job duties or kitchen needs.
- Collaborating as a positive team member to ensure the smooth functioning of the school’s nutrition program.
- Supporting a clean and welcoming environment for all students and faculty.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with high school students.
- The physical ability to meet job requirements, including the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- A problem-solving approach and a flexible nature to adapt to the fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic computer literacy for point-of-sale operations.
- A commitment to the CVSD mission of developing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all.
