Senior Accounting Analyst

CV Resources is partnering with a leading regulated industry company to fill a Senior Accounting Analyst role. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in fixed asset accounting, GAAP, and regulatory reporting who is ready to take ownership of complex accounting activities in a high-impact environment.

The Senior Accounting Analyst will provide professional accounting services in compliance with U.S. GAAP and the Federal Regulatory Requirements. This role is critical in supporting both internal management reporting and external regulatory/SEC filings.

• Role Type: Full-time, permanent

• Title: Senior Accounting Analyst

• Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000 base salary

• Benefits: Comprehensive package (medical, retirement, etc.)

  Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly construction work-in-progress, plant additions, and other reports for distribution to internal departments.

  • Perform asset accounting tasks to support internal control requirements under Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Analyze capital additions, retirements, and transfers; identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare GAAP-based fixed asset disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K).

  • Develop fixed asset schedules for annual FERC Form No. 1 and state commission filings.

  • Provide supporting documentation to external auditors during annual audits.

  • Perform depreciation and other specialized fixed asset accounting functions.

  • Support regulatory filings through data requests and analysis.

  • Process journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations during month-end close.

  • Consult with management and operational staff on sensitive or complex accounting issues.

    Ideal Candidate

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required (CPA or advanced degree strongly preferred).

    • 7 years of accounting experience in corporate, regulated, or complex environments.

    • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 

    • Proficiency with SAP and advanced Excel skills.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multiple departments.
