CV Resources has partnered with an outstanding company in Irvine, CA seeking to hire Accounting Manager/ Assistant Controller to join their team.
Hybrid in Irvine, CA up to $75 per hour or $150k bonus annually
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Focus – Operational & Internal Accounting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal management reports
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance standards
- Manage relationships with banks, payroll providers, auditors, and accounting software vendors
- Support process improvement and system enhancement initiatives
Evolving Focus – Strategic & External Leadership
- Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy
- Lead audit readiness, external financial reviews, and ensure regulatory and tax compliance
- Assess, recommend, and implement systems or tools to improve financial scalability and visibility
- Contribute to strategic projects, including financial modeling, scenario planning, and due diligence
- Provide actionable financial insights to support pricing, investment decisions, and growth initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage) and Excel/financial modeling
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Salary : $120,000 - $155,000
