General Duties:

Perform assembly operation of a repetitive nature requiring the handling of heavy parts and/or

responsibility

& skill to transfer, operate, or adjust production equipment.

Job will require employee

to rotate between various production assignments. May use a wide

range of hand & power tools to assemble, check, adjust or repair on assigned jobs including,

but is not limited to:

Progressive assembly line work

Sub

assembly work

Handling of parts or materials (up to 35 pounds)

Driving screws and/or assembling other fasteners

Assembling/applying tape, insulation, or other materials

Assembling/fastening wire harnesses, terminating wires, etc.

Check, adjust or repair sub

assemblies

Check, adjust or repair final assemblies

Testing and/or packaging of sub or final assemblies

In

line checking or reporting for critical appearance defects in major assemblies, sub

assemblies, or other major components

Repetitive use of vibrating tools and air guns

Repetitive motion work

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Assemble housing, optical, or combined luminaire using tools and fixture.

May work on a build complete cell or on an assembly line.

Obtain and work from Bills of Material, parts lists, wiring diagrams and other

documentation, or instructions.

Gather material, assemble, and test on computer

controlled test equipment.

Pack, operate equipment, and rework fixtures as required.

Follow appropriate Manufacturing Control Plan (MCP) and sign off as required.

Responsible for participating in applicable plant Safety Programs and promoting a safe

work environment.

Standing, lifting, twisting, and turning in a fast

paced environment

Exhibit good communication skills and operate as a team

Perform related duties as assigned

height adjuster. The assembly line is set up at a height of 31". All employees must

wear steel toed boots and protective eyewear and gloves. Protective earplugs ar

provided if they would like them but are not mandatory. The lines start by unloading

housings from a cart which involves the employee pivoting 90 or 180 degrees

(depending on the production line), reaching for the housing, and then placing it to the

ass

embly line. Once on the line, each member of the team works on the housing to

complete the fixture. They have electronic, low torque, retractable screw drivers that

are suspended overhead and can easily be pulled down to assist with assembly.

Supplies r

equired for assembly are positioned in bins in front of employees at chest

height. The housing moves down the line on a frictionless surface of rollers. Finally,

the fixture is tested and then packed. The packer stands

picks up a box from a stack

located at the pack station

fill

box with pack material and the fully assembled

housing, and then runs it through the automatic sealing/taping device. Once the box is

assembled and sealed, it is lifted by hand or with a suction lift and taken to a nearby
