You arrive in your fully equipped service truck — crane, welder, and compressor on board — and get to work. A quick diagnosis, a hose swap, and you’re on to DOT and dielectric checks before rolling to the next site. That’s a day in the life of a Field Service Mechanic at Custom Truck One Source (CTOS).

What You’ll Do

• Travel to customer sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial, construction, and light- to heavy-duty truck equipment — including bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and more.
• Work across diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.
• Conduct inspections and testing on CTOS rental and customer equipment, including DOT inspections and dielectric testing.
• Handle parts replacement, preventative maintenance, and complex field repairs with independence and precision.

Where You’ll Work

• Coverage: Louisiana, Mississippi, East Texas, and Western Alabama.
• Overnight travel required; frequent assignments along the Gulf Coast serving oil, gas, and utility projects.

What You Bring

• 7 years of combined shop and field experience.
• Hands-on skill with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Background with utility, construction (yellow iron), or heavy equipment (CAT, Deere, Komatsu) and medium/heavy-duty trucks.
• Self-sufficient, organized, and team-oriented; comfortable working independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B is a plus. Personal tools required.
