Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, ensure accuracy in financial data entry, and assist with maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Duties
- Perform data entry for financial transactions using Foundation accounting software
- Reconcile accounts including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy
- Support payroll management as needed
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies
- Manage account reconciliation processes and ensure proper documentation for accounting records
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams on misc tasks and projects aimed to meeting the team needs and goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms (Foundation software preferred by not required)
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation
- Knowledge of GAAP, corporate accounting standards, and governmental accounting practices preferred
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards including account analysis, budgeting, credit analysis, and tax procedures
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and balance sheet review
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

As a part time position, hours can be negotiated within the general business operating hours (flexible schedule can be accommodated).
