BIO-WEST seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to perform a range of accounting tasks including account payables, account receivables, billing, and reconciliations, as well as some clerical and assistant type tasks, in its Logan, Utah office.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Routine data entry for accounting records such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, etc.
· Review invoices, expense reports, timesheets, and payroll for accuracy and completeness
· Regular data entry into complex Excel spreadsheets
· Report any inconsistencies or missing items to supervisor
· Help maintaining accounting files and records
· Help in processing payments to vendors and staff
· Run reports and help answer staff questions
· Communicate with Supervisor and Company Owners to perform as-needed tasks
· Other related duties as assigned

· Accurate and efficient at data entry
· Ability to quickly learn new procedures
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
· Ability to operate office equipment, such as computers and copiers
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently
· Good interpersonal skills, can interact professionally with others, and the ability to work as a team
· Willingness to ask for help when needed
· Able to give and receive feedback
- Software Skills
o Microsoft Suite, especially a strong knowledge of Excel
o Adobe
o Google Suite
o Deltek VantagePoint (preferred, but not required)
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
