Laboratory Technician Job Description
Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

Primary Responsibilities
- Optimize laboratory procedures to produce reliable and impactful results.
- Handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and report findings to the laboratory manager.
- Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.).
- Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings.
- Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
- Organize and store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
- Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
- Degree in a related discipline (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) and/or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials, and substances.
- Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, statistical analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical mindset.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow scientific laboratory SOPs.
- Aseptic sampling techniques.
