CSI Companies is actively hiring for a Mammography Technologist to support our client, a leading hospital system in Texas.
Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm CST
Location: Onsite – Marble Falls, TX
Pay: $40-46/hour depending on experience, certification, and education
Position Type: Contract with strong potential to extend/convert
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform advanced breast imaging procedures in an ambulatory and inpatient setting. Under the supervision of a Radiologist, this role supports accurate diagnosis and treatment by delivering safe, high-quality imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality breast imaging procedures, including mammography, stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and needle localizations, following established protocols.
- Position patients, adjust equipment, and ensure appropriate shielding and safety measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining procedures, answering questions, and establishing rapport.
- Maintain imaging equipment, work areas, and supplies to ensure safety, cleanliness, and readiness.
- Adhere to safety standards, infection-control, drug, and radiation protocols.
- Verify and maintain documentation such as requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, and consent forms.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicists, and engineering staff to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
- Support patient safety by screening individuals entering the imaging department.
- Maintain medical imaging records in PACS and EMR systems according to policy.
- Train and mentor new technologists and support staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- TMB license required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Proficiency in breast imaging techniques and modalities
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and sterile techniques
- Ability to work independently while maintaining patient-centered care
- Black scrubs required (not provided)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience serving as a trainer or preceptor
- Strong communication and patient care skills across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
