Accounting Intern

Position Summary

Crystorama is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment while developing practical accounting and financial operations skills.

The Accounting Intern will work closely with members of the Accounting and Finance team, assisting with accounts receivable activities, cash application, customer communications, and general administrative support. This role offers exposure to daily accounting operations and provides valuable experience with financial systems, reporting, and customer account management.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Assist with customer collections and account follow-up.
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and payment status updates.
• Provide customers with copies of invoices, statements, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate shipping holds or credit limit restrictions related to outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate customer account notes and collection records.

Cash Application & Reconciliations

• Review bank activity and assist with applying customer ACH and wire payments.
• Process and record customer checks received by mail.
• Apply customer payments within internal systems.
• Assist with daily bank reconciliations and deposit verification.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.

Customer & Administrative Support

• Monitor the Accounts Receivable inbox and respond to routine customer inquiries.
• Assist customers with invoice requests, payment confirmations, and account-related questions.
• Support document organization and record retention efforts.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.

Finance Team Support

• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Support month-end close activities as assigned.
• Prepare reports and analyses using Microsoft Excel.
• Collaborate with team members across Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus, but not required.
