Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting Oversight: Oversee all day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll coordination.
- Financial Reporting & Closing: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes. Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements and performance reports to the executive leadership and ownership group.
- Financial Strategy & Cash Flow: Drive corporate budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor and manage cash flow actively to optimize capital allocation and support corporate growth initiatives.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Design, implement, and maintain rigorous internal controls to safeguard corporate assets. Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting managers and staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development within the finance team.
- Executive Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to the ownership group, delivering data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to support high-level business decisions.
- Experience: 10-15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or Director-level capacity.
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred (an MBA is a plus).
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial modeling software. Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing accounting teams. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset capable of navigating complex financial landscapes.
- Communication: Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill intricate financial data into clear summaries for non-financial stakeholders.
