Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and hearing screenings.
- Explain test results and educate patients on hearing health and treatment options.
- Recommend appropriate hearing aid solutions based on each patient's needs and lifestyle.
- Fit, program, adjust, and troubleshoot hearing aids from various manufacturers.
- Provide follow-up care, fine-tuning, maintenance, and counseling to ensure optimal device performance and patient satisfaction.
- Educate patients and caregivers on the proper use, care, and maintenance of hearing devices.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with audiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and support day-to-day clinic operations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while building long-term patient relationships.
- Active Hearing Aid Specialist license (or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice).
- Experience performing hearing evaluations, audiometric testing, and hearing aid fittings.
- Strong knowledge of hearing aid programming, verification, troubleshooting, and follow-up care.
- Excellent patient counseling and communication skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience using hearing aid programming software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a hearing healthcare clinic, audiology practice, ENT clinic, or similar medical setting.
- Experience working with multiple hearing aid manufacturers and programming platforms.
- Familiarity with hearing conservation, tinnitus counseling, and balance-related services is a plus.
