What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Director position at CROSSPOINT CITY CHURCH?
Objective:
Oversee and support the church's day-to-day management, including facilities and security. This role will oversee the facilities staff and serve team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee general upkeep of the property, including cleaning, repairs, special projects, landscaping, and exterior appearance.
- Manage the inventory of all buildings, grounds, and equipment the church owns
- Ensure standard and preventative care of all roads, walks, parking lights, signs, irrigation systems, fencing, gates, culverts, and other drainage structures
- Manage all facility usage requests and ensure all rooms are prepared as requested
- Manage the effective utilization of available storage space
- Work with architects and general contractors on building projects (as assigned)
- To be accountable for the development and spending of the Facilities portion of the Church budget
- Initiate purchasing and inventory systems for supplies and equipment as required
- Coordinate the Facilities and Security service teams to support weekend gatherings and special functions/events
- Retain operations and maintenance records as required
- Recruit, prepare, equip, and encourage leaders on your team to align with Crosspoint's mission, values, and strategy, and coach security leaders, oversee scheduling, and provide adequate training opportunities for security and facilities team members
- Oversee the implementation and upgrade of the security requirements of the entire property
- Effectively steward the budget and all resources related to your ministry
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Position may require some travel locally
- As required, attend staff and departmental meetings on time
- Participates in training as directed

- Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check
- 5 years of facilities and/or property management experience required
- Ability to learn schedules and systems
- Ability to lead and assist others with construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and preparation/cleanup work
- Ability to perform non-routine and complex maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, fixtures, etc
- Ability to operate various basic and complex hand and power tools, including calibration and test equipment
- Must be proficient in general construction
- Possess the ability to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a team approach to ministry
- Collaborations and a team-oriented mindset are essential
- Ability to be discreet in dealing with confidential matters and materials
- Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and members face-to-face
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively
