What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Coach, Unbound Academy - $60,000/year USD position at Crossover?
IMPORTANT NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires you to be physically located in Arizona.
Licensed teachers who want to leave classroom administration behind and focus on making a real impact—this is for you.
Imagine a role where lesson planning, lecturing, and grading are no longer your responsibility, and your entire focus is guiding young people to become self-assured, skilled individuals.
Unbound Academy redefines what education looks like. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school where worksheets are replaced by experiential learning and personal development takes priority. Students work through core academics on their own using AI-powered platforms in just two hours each day. The remaining time is dedicated to cultivating practical skills through structured workshops, mentorship, and hands-on exploration.
Your day won't involve scripted curriculum delivery or monitoring a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions designed to push students to think critically, innovate, work together, and evolve. Your mentorship will guide them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and critical thinking—all while fostering independence, self-confidence, and strong executive function.
This position isn't suited for educators looking to recreate conventional schooling in a virtual format. It's designed for licensed teachers prepared to move to Arizona, embrace a hybrid structure, and guide students in ways that genuinely equip them for the future. If traditional classroom routines no longer fulfill you and you're seeking the most impactful work of your teaching career, continue reading.
