Alpha students don't sit in traditional lectures. They progress through academics using AI-driven adaptive software at their own speed, frequently completing an entire grade level within weeks. Your role covers everything the software cannot: guiding kids through setbacks, teaching them how to provide feedback, holding them accountable to standards they didn't realize they could meet, and ensuring they're excited to come to school. You'll facilitate hands-on workshops focused on life skills like public speaking, time management, and focus, then lead sessions designed to inspire genuine motivation rather than mere compliance.
This is not a conventional classroom environment. You'll support a small group of K-12 students who recognize you personally. You'll monitor their development using Coachbot analytics, identify when someone encounters obstacles, and teach them strategies to overcome challenges independently. When 100% of your cohort achieves their weekly targets and 90% provide high ratings in surveys, you'll see proof that the model succeeds because of your execution.
Guides who excel with their cohort advance to Lead Guide roles — mentoring fellow Guides and influencing how an entire campus fulfills Alpha's mission. As Alpha expands to new locations, the individuals who establish excellence today will be the ones who replicate it at scale tomorrow. If you've never imagined yourself in education but believe you can shift a child's future, this is where that conviction becomes your career. Apply today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-12 students covering subjects such as public speaking, focus, and feedback delivery: interactive, project-driven sessions where you engage actively, not lecture passively
- Supporting a small student cohort daily by leveraging Coachbot analytics and individual student profiles to establish personalized goals, monitor application progress, and encourage continuous advancement
- Developing and administering mastery-based assessments (Test2Pass) that confirm students have genuinely acquired the skill rather than simply attended the session
- Building individual relationships with students: discovering their passions, identifying what drives each one, and tailoring your coaching style to match
- Maintaining high performance standards: ensuring 100% of students meet weekly objectives and achieve 90% satisfaction ratings in your surveys
- Delivering instruction in core academic subjects. Students advance through math, reading, and science via adaptive applications. You will not stand before a board teaching long division.
- Creating lesson plans independently. Alpha supplies a structured life skills curriculum and implementation guides. Your responsibility is to execute them effectively, not design them from the ground up.
- Grading assignments, conducting parent-teacher conferences, or overseeing standardized testing. There are no report cards to complete and no state exam preparation to manage.
- Supervising students passively while they work on computers. When a student encounters difficulty, you coach them toward self-sufficiency. Passive observation contradicts the core of this position.
- Compromising standards when students resist. The motivational framework relies on maintaining high expectations, not granting exceptions when situations become challenging.
Guide a cohort of K-12 students who are enthusiastic about learning, accelerate their academic progress through adaptive technology, and develop essential life skills via dynamic workshops.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 students (in professional or organized volunteer capacities such as coaching, camp counseling, or youth programming)

- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Background as a sports coach, theater director, debate instructor, or camp coordinator where you inspired children to excel, not simply show up
- Demonstrated history of exceptional personal accomplishment (in academics, athletics, or career) that establishes credibility with students and families
- Confidence presenting to groups: the type of command that captivates a room of twelve-year-olds without needing to elevate your voice
- Experience with adaptive learning systems or educational technology platforms (such as Khan Academy, IXL, DreamBox)
