Student Success Strategist, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Crossover
Santa Monica, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 6/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/7/2026
You understand that the most compassionate act toward a student is maintaining a high standard, not lowering it. Your background includes competition, achievement, or creation at a level most people only observe from a distance: elite-level athletics, graduation from a top university with honors, a position at a highly selective organization, or a company you launched yourself. Now imagine channeling that rigor into a setting where K-12 students—who have never encountered someone with your credentials—are pushed toward standards they didn't think they could meet. If the idea of enforcing elite expectations feels too demanding, this role isn't for you.

Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction so that students complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remaining time is dedicated to life skills, passion projects, and meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose accomplishments establish the benchmark: someone capable of reading group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.

You won't be teaching. AI manages the academic content. Your role is to motivate, mentor, and enforce the same exacting standards you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time involves direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching to identify obstacles and define challenging objectives. Another forty percent is spent facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for competency, not amusement. The final twenty percent is devoted to morning sessions that set a daily tone where excellence is the baseline.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You'll begin by mastering Alpha's framework and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's the continuity of supporting the same students year over year. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a room of adults in May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a pathway to another role. If you're leaving your current position because of the mission rather than resume enhancement, submit your application.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and ensure accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for competency using authentic examples from your elite background, then evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass framework
  • Establishing daily cultural expectations each morning through focused sessions that reinforce high-performance norms campus-wide
  • Monitoring student advancement in real time and modifying coaching approaches using data-driven insights rather than intuition
  • Developing trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining high standards, consistency, and formalized motivation strategies

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI-powered academic platform manages instruction; your focus is student motivation
  • Presenting to a full classroom of 30 students (your work centers on high-touch coaching in intimate groups, not large-scale instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or pursuing administrative advancement (this position prioritizes direct student impact over organizational structure)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional bureaucracy (your schedule remains student-focused)
  • Reducing standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your role is to uncover what prevented 100%)
