What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Engagement Assistant, Unbound Academy - $40,000/year USD position at Crossover?
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a hybrid role that requires physical presence in Arizona.
What if your role was to keep students motivated, supported, and eager to participate—without the demands of lesson planning, grading, or academic instruction?
This position is designed for individuals who excel at working with young people and thrive in dynamic environments. At Unbound Academy's fully virtual, tuition-free charter school, students advance rapidly through academic content using AI-powered tools, then engage in live, interactive workshops centered on life skills, teamwork, and personal growth. Your responsibility is to ensure these experiences run seamlessly and resonate with students.
You'll serve as the bridge that connects each part of the day. You'll facilitate transitions, guide small groups, maintain high energy levels, and provide support when students need encouragement or direction. Content delivery isn't your focus—but your presence is essential to making the experience work.
If you've guided young people in camps, after-school settings, athletics, tutoring programs, or youth-focused organizations—and you're drawn to a hybrid position that combines virtual engagement with in-person collaboration—this is an opportunity to make school feel connected and human once more.
What You Will Be Doing
Facilitate engaging, virtual learning environments by keeping students organized, motivated, and fully engaged during every workshop session.
