What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Specialist, The Novatio School (Remote) - $60,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You recognize the moment instantly. A child who struggled through every sentence now reads smoothly and without second-guessing. The tension fades. Something shifts. If creating that transformation is what drives your work, this position is designed for you.
Novatio operates as a fully remote school committed to advancing student achievement through individualized support, effective teaching, and outcomes you can measure. We understand that learners who struggle with reading require more than digital tools and printed exercises. They need precise intervention, steady encouragement, and teachers who adjust strategies on the spot.
In this position, you will provide virtual reading intervention sessions to students in grades 3–8 and help them develop the confidence and determination that sustain long-term success. You will analyze assessment data to identify skill deficits, modify instruction promptly, and design interventions that address each student's current needs. You will also facilitate brief motivation check-ins that keep learners engaged, accountable, and proud of what they accomplish.
This position suits someone who appreciates autonomy, immediate feedback, and tangible results. If you seek the freedom to customize instruction while producing measurable improvements in reading fluency and comprehension, we want to speak with you.
