What You Will Be Doing
- Implementing focused, short-duration reading workshops that build phonics, comprehension, and fluency capabilities
- Creating personalized motivational sessions that leverage gamified literacy milestones
- Reviewing student performance data to refine teaching approaches and identify actionable insights
- Partnering with engineers to assess and improve AI literacy tools informed by classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-enhanced content that enables early elementary students to reach grade-level proficiency
- Conducting 90-minute classes or adhering to traditional curriculum—students master academic subjects through AI-adaptive apps
Literacy Specialist key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master's degree in reading instruction
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
- Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Plano, TX; or Dorado, Puerto Rico
