This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. What You Will Be Doing
- Implementing short, focused reading workshops that build phonics, fluency, and comprehension skills
- Creating personalized motivational sessions using gamified literacy milestones
- Reviewing student progress data to refine instruction and identify actionable insights
- Working with engineers to assess and improve AI literacy tools based on classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-enhanced content that supports early elementary students in reaching grade-level proficiency
- Teaching 90-minute classes or following traditional curriculum—students learn academic subjects through AI-adaptive apps
Literacy Coordinator key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master's degree in reading instruction
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
- Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Plano, TX; or Dorado, Puerto Rico
