What You Will Be Doing
- Implementing focused, high-impact reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency
- Creating personalized motivational experiences through gamified literacy benchmarks
- Evaluating student performance data to refine teaching approaches and identify actionable trends
- Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-driven literacy tools using real classroom feedback
- Building scalable, AI-supported instructional content that helps early elementary students reach grade-level reading proficiency
- Conducting 90-minute lessons or adhering to conventional curricula—academic content is delivered through AI-adaptive applications
Literacy Specialist key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master's degree in reading instruction
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
- Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Plano, TX; or Dorado, Puerto Rico
