What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning and Development Manager, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site position in Atlanta, GA or Keller (Fort Worth), TX
- $150,000 annual salary, paid weekly. Health benefits begin day one
- Relocation assistance available if needed
At Alpha, this principle is non-negotiable. It defines daily practice. Students progress through academic content via self-directed applications, not through instructor-led lessons. This design allows you to concentrate on what genuinely transforms outcomes: facilitating high-energy sessions on public speaking, concentration, and feedback culture. Using live analytics, you motivate students to meet every learning target. You also mentor the Guides who support you. Your resources are performance data, a tested operational framework, and the executive presence that compels middle schoolers to engage rather than withdraw.
You will lead a student cohort and be measured on three deliverables: students enjoy attending school, they advance at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they develop practical life competencies. Coaching other Guides begins immediately. As you scale results, your authority over campus-wide program standards expands.
Atlanta: A culturally vibrant metro area with moderate weather and a cost of living more favorable than coastal cities.
Fort Worth: Zero state income tax, highly rated schools, and a family-oriented city with a thriving arts and culinary landscape.
Uphold the standard. Transform the learner. Submit your application.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour live sessions on life competencies (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K-8 students, adhering to Alpha's established playbook
- Conducting motivation sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward structures (school currency, leaderboards) to ensure 100% student goal attainment
- Mentoring Guides on adherence to program standards and enforcement protocols, with each session yielding concrete performance actions
- Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously advancing other Guides
- Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal attainment rates, and Guide performance indicators
- Lecturing or providing academic tutoring. Students master content through application-based learning.
- Creating curriculum or instructional plans. Alpha's playbook serves as your operational framework, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and rapport.
- Compromising when a student achieves 99% rather than 100%. Maintaining standards demonstrates your confidence in their capability.
- Training Guides on instructional methods. Guides do not teach, so your coaching centers on energy, motivation, and accountability.
Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for every student in your level: they love school, they learn twice as fast as a traditional classroom, and they build real life skills.
