You understand the line between participation and true competition. Alpha leverages AI-driven 1:1 instruction, enabling students to complete their core academics in roughly two hours per day. The remainder of their schedule is devoted to life skills, passion projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments model excellence: someone capable of reading the environment, establishing expectations, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.

Your role is not to teach; it is to coach, challenge, and uphold the same rigorous standard you've applied to yourself. You will dedicate 80% of your time to direct 1-on-1 sessions, small-group coaching, and life-skills instruction. The remaining 20% involves setting the daily tone: intentional morning sessions that build a culture where mediocrity is not acceptable.

This trajectory is not about ascending into management. It is about mastery. You begin by internalizing Alpha's framework and earning credibility with students. Within months, you become the person they trust to push them beyond their perceived limits. The payoff is not a title. It is witnessing a student who struggled with eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a room of adults by May.

What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching to identify individual obstacles, establish ambitious objectives, and ensure accountability for execution
• Leading structured life-skills sessions designed for mastery rather than engagement, drawing on authentic examples from your own high-achievement background
• Evaluating student mastery using platforms such as Test2Pass and monitoring development through Coachbot analytics to refine coaching approaches dynamically
• Establishing cultural expectations each morning via focused kickoffs that reinforce high-performance norms throughout the campus
• Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and their families by maintaining high standards, consistency, and documented motivational frameworks
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Creating lesson plans, developing curricula, or evaluating assignments. Alpha's academic structure manages that independently.
• Instructing a full classroom of 30 students. Your focus is intensive coaching in small settings, not large-group instruction.
• Supervising other personnel or pursuing an administrative career path. This position centers on direct student outcomes, not organizational advancement.
• Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional bureaucracy. Your schedule remains centered on student interaction.
• Compromising standards to achieve targets. If a student reaches 99%, your task is to identify what prevented 100%.
  
  

Entrepreneurship Coach Key Responsibilities

Drive exceptional student motivation, growth, and life-skill mastery at Alpha's highest-expectation campuses.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least one instance of exceptional achievement in a highly selective, globally recognized domain (examples: national or international competition medals, top-tier university with distinction, highly selective firm or fellowship, elite performing arts institution, or founding and scaling a successful venture)
• At least 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership roles where you measurably raised others' performance
• Willingness to work in-person at an Alpha campus in New York City, NY; Orange County (Lake Forest), CA; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA
• Legal right to work in the United States
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Background in elite competitive athletics (varsity D1, national team, or professional level) with experience coaching or mentoring younger athletes
• Experience in high-accountability environments like management consulting, investment banking, or military leadership
• Track record of youth development through mentoring in non-academic settings (community organizations, after-school programs, sports camps)
• Comfort presenting to and building trust with high-expectation families paying premium private school tuition

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
