What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Enrollment and Parent Relations, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Santa Barbara families shape culture—they don't chase it.
Alpha is opening a campus in one of California's most discerning, interconnected communities. This is not a conventional private school vying on facilities. Students finish their core academics in two concentrated hours through AI-driven learning platforms, then dedicate the remainder of the day to cultivating public speaking ability, critical reasoning, and practical execution. Outcomes position students among the nation's top 1%. The approach is proven. The challenge is whether it can secure trust in this environment.
From inception through year one, this is a ground-up enrollment leadership position. In Santa Barbara, that translates to building credibility within closely knit social networks where reputation amplifies and errors persist. You will design intimate information sessions, conduct personalized campus visits, engage families in individual meetings, and deliberately assemble the founding cohort. After enrollment stabilizes and an admissions director is brought on, your role evolves into the campus's lead parent relations executive, safeguarding alignment and converting satisfied families into vocal advocates across their circles.
This is not transactional recruiting. It is confidence-building at an elevated standard. You must command respect with families who have access to any institution nationally and who demand substantive responses to probing questions about AI integration, screen exposure, and future outcomes. A single poorly matched family can disrupt a 25-student cohort. Selectivity is essential.
If you are prepared to establish something distinguished in a market that values refinement, tact, and performance, this is the role.
