The families who select Alpha rely on trusted advisors in every aspect of their lives. This is the one relationship they haven't yet established.

You will be the person they reach out to when uncertainty arises, when something doesn't feel quite right, or when they want to share a moment they know you will appreciate. You will understand each family deeply enough to foresee their needs before they articulate them—and you will possess the judgment and composure to address whatever they bring with discretion, warmth, and seamless professionalism. Over time, you will not merely be associated with their child's school. You will become woven into the way they navigate this stage of their family's journey.

This level of trust is not built through systems. It emerges from presence—consistent, daily, and unhurried. You will be accessible during morning arrival and afternoon departure, present at significant evening gatherings, and engaged in the unscheduled one-on-one exchanges that rarely appear on any agenda. You will cultivate a community that families actively protect, where membership feels natural and referrals arise because the experience consistently merits them.

Alpha operates outside traditional school conventions. Students complete core academic requirements in two hours daily using AI-powered applications, then dedicate the remainder of their day to public speaking, critical reasoning, and hands-on projects. No lectures. No unnecessary assignments. Top 1% outcomes nationally. The families who choose this model are investing in something they value deeply—but that commitment requires ongoing support.

You will sustain that dialogue with every family, through every question, for the duration of their child's enrollment. If defending an unconventional approach to discerning skeptics feels like an obstacle, this role is not suited to you. If it feels like the most compelling conversation you could be engaged in, continue reading.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Take full ownership of the relationship with every enrolled family—the evolving, deepening connection that ensures parents feel understood, not merely attended to
  • Identify potential concerns before they surface as issues, and address them with the discretion and interpersonal skill that preserves trust
  • Maintain visible presence where families gather: morning arrival (7–9am), afternoon departure (2–4pm), evening family events, and select weekend programming
  • Develop a campus community with authentic character—programs, rituals, and interactions that give families a sense of belonging to something they value protecting
  • Foster parent champions naturally, designing experiences of such consistent quality that referrals emerge as the expected result
  • Sustain the ongoing dialogue about Alpha's AI-powered approach with families managing screen time concerns, skeptical relatives, and moments of uncertainty—not only during enrollment, but continuously throughout their campus tenure
  • Recognize when a family is not aligned with the community and manage that transition with the same professionalism you apply universally—safeguarding the community is integral to serving it
  • Establish the structures and routines this role demands in a setting where standard procedures are still emerging

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Overseeing enrollment processes—that responsibility belongs to the Admissions Director; your role begins once families are enrolled and expands from there
  • Operating from behind a desk—your visibility within the community defines the position
  • Maintaining standard 9–5 hours—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening programming are core components of the role, not occasional adjustments
  • Relying on administrative infrastructure, established protocols, or a complete team—you function with significant autonomy and create what is needed
  • Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role values authentic connection, not procedural adherence

Director Of Community Engagement Key Responsibilities

Serve as the trusted relationship anchoring every family's Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence through challenging moments, foster a community where belonging feels substantial, and establish the conditions under which satisfied families naturally become active advocates.

Basic Requirements

  • Currently live within commuting range of one of these campuses OR prepared to relocate within 60 days (preference given to candidates with established local community ties): Denver, CO; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Tampa, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Charlotte, NC; Las Vegas, NV; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Dallas (Carrollton), TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston (The Woodlands), TX; Park City, UT; Burlington, VT; Kirkland, WA; or Jackson Hole, WY
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
  • 5 years in a relationship-focused role serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, or comparable environments where discretion, warmth, and interpersonal fluency mattered as much as technical ability
  • Proven capacity to navigate relationships through challenging situations with sophisticated families and maintain trust throughout
  • Authentic presence and communication approach that quickly establishes confidence with affluent, high-expectation families—genuine rather than rehearsed
  • Personal background with independent, private, or non-traditional education—whether professional or parental—that provides you credible perspective when families question the model
  • Sincere conviction in AI-powered education and the capacity to sustain that belief authentically across years of parent relationships, beyond the initial enrollment phase
  • Flexibility for non-standard hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening programming 2–3x monthly, and occasional weekend commitments

Nice-to-have Requirements

Exceptional candidates will possess at least one of the following:

  • Established connections within the local affluent community that would provide you with an immediate, organic presence on campus
  • Private or independent school background with demonstrated success in family retention and community building—beyond enrollment metrics alone
  • Background managing high-stakes family relationships where your judgment and discretion were the foundation of sustained trust
  • Natural talent for designing experiences—gatherings, moments, settings—where participants feel they are part of something meaningful and worth protecting
  • Prior startup or early-stage experience where you created from the ground up and maintained composure amid rapid change
