The most powerful act of support for a student who achieved 99% is explaining they haven't met the standard. If that statement makes you uncomfortable, this isn't your role. If it resonates, continue reading.

Alpha enables students to complete their academic learning in two hours daily through AI-driven, self-directed applications. No traditional instruction. No lecture delivery. No subject-matter classroom oversight. This structure allows you to focus on what genuinely transforms student outcomes: facilitating dynamic workshops on communication skills, concentration, and constructive critique; driving students toward complete goal attainment using live performance data; and developing the Guides who support your work.

A typical day might begin with individual Guide coaching, analyzing data together and pinpointing cohort performance gaps. By midday you're delivering a structured workshop to students, executing a playbook exercise on feedback exchange. Afternoons transition to motivation work: engaging with individual students, identifying their intrinsic drivers, and applying Alpha's incentive framework to re-engage a reluctant middle schooler. You maintain direct responsibility for your own cohort, ensuring you continue practicing the capabilities you're developing in others.

You've likely felt misaligned in traditional education environments: excessively analytical, overly outcome-oriented, too comfortable questioning conventional approaches to student development. Alpha may be your first genuine professional fit. You'll begin coaching Guides immediately, and as you demonstrate scalable impact, your authority over campus program quality expands.

Uphold the standard. Transform the student. Submit your application.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating hour-long live workshops focused on life competencies (communication, concentration, feedback exchange) for elementary and middle school cohorts (K-8), executing Alpha's established playbook rather than creating original content
  • Conducting motivation sessions that leverage student performance analytics and Alpha's incentive mechanisms (campus currency, performance rankings) to achieve 100% goal completion across your cohort
  • Developing Guides through coaching on program adherence and standards maintenance, ensuring each session yields concrete performance improvements
  • Directly managing your own student cohort while simultaneously building Guide capabilities
  • Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide effectiveness data on a weekly basis to identify declining performance before it escalates

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or providing subject tutoring. Students progress through self-directed applications without direct adult instruction.
  • Creating curriculum or developing original lesson content. The playbook is established; your focus is precise execution, not creative development.
  • Training Guides on instructional pedagogy. Guides facilitate rather than teach, so you're developing their engagement, motivation, and accountability skills instead.
  • Accepting 99% as sufficient when the standard is 100%. Maintaining the threshold demonstrates your confidence in their potential to reach it.
  • Serving as the campus emotional safety net. Students receive genuine connection here, alongside honest assessment and meaningful accountability.

Program Director Key Responsibilities

Execute Alpha's three core commitments for every student in your cohort: they experience genuine engagement with school, accelerate their learning to twice the traditional pace, and acquire substantive life competencies.

Basic Requirements

  • Available to work on-site at one of these locations: Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation assistance available)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline
  • 5 years professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or comparable field
  • Demonstrated history of leading teams of 5 adults, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
  • Hands-on experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational or developmental contexts
  • Experience building, launching, or substantially scaling a program, team, business, school, or initiative from inception
  • Documented use of data and performance metrics to establish weekly objectives and inform decisions, beyond simple reporting
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline
  • Experience coaching athletics, leading outdoor or experiential education programs, directing camps, or managing youth ministry at sufficient scale to require cohort management and outcome measurement
  • Transitioned from classroom teaching to program development or leadership in adjacent sectors: EdTech ventures, tutoring enterprises, youth-focused nonprofits, or school intervention programs
  • Early professional or pre-professional record of exceptional individual achievement — academic, athletic, or career — prior to leadership transition
  • Conviction that the existing education system requires fundamental redesign and personal commitment to that transformation
