What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?

At Alpha, this isn't up for discussion. It defines every interaction. Students acquire academic knowledge via self-directed applications, not through traditional instructor-led teaching. This model empowers you to focus on what genuinely transforms outcomes: facilitating dynamic workshops on public speaking, concentration, and feedback skills. Drive students toward complete mastery of learning objectives using live analytics. Develop the Guides working with you. Your resources include performance data, a tested framework, and the executive presence that captures the attention of middle schoolers instead of losing it.
A typical morning may begin with a one-on-one Guide coaching conversation, examining Coachbot data and pinpointing where a student group is underperforming. By midday you're facilitating an active workshop with students, executing a structured activity on feedback exchange. Afternoons transition to motivational interventions: engaging individual students, uncovering their intrinsic drivers, and leveraging Alpha's incentive architecture (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to re-engage a reluctant 7th grader. You maintain direct ownership of a cohort, ensuring you remain proficient in the capabilities you're training others to master.
You will be measured on three deliverables: students love attending school, they progress at double the rate of traditional classrooms, and they acquire essential life competencies. You'll begin coaching other Guides immediately. As you demonstrate scalable impact, your authority over campus-wide program standards expands.
Uphold the standard. Transform the student. Apply today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour structured workshops on essential life competencies (public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange) for students in grades K-8, following Alpha's established playbook
- Conducting motivational interventions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive architecture (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
- Developing Guides in program adherence and standards enforcement, ensuring each coaching session yields concrete action steps for improvement
- Overseeing your own student cohort while simultaneously training other Guides
- Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance indicators
- Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring. Students acquire content knowledge through digital applications.
- Creating curriculum or instructional plans. Alpha's playbook serves as your operational framework, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and relationship-building.
- Accepting 99% when the standard is 100%. Maintaining high expectations demonstrates your belief in student capability.
- Training Guides in pedagogical methods. Since Guides don't deliver instruction, your coaching focuses on presence, motivation, and accountability practices.
Execute Alpha's 3 Promises for every student in your grade level: they love attending school, they progress at twice the speed of conventional classrooms, and they develop real-world life skills.
